Hi! My name is Stacy,
the mom, traveler, and storyteller behind Points for Family Travel. What began as a way to share our family’s adventures has grown into a space where parents can find real, practical inspiration for exploring the world with older kids and teens.
Family travel changes as kids grow, and I love showing that adventures don’t have to stop when the teen years begin, they just take on new shape (usually with a little more independence, and a lot more humor). Through destination guides, hotel reviews, and tips on using points and miles, I help families plan trips that are fun, functional, and unforgettable.
With a community of over 223,000 engaged Instagram followers, my content blends personal storytelling with actionable advice. From uncovering hotels that actually work for families, to building itineraries that balance culture, adventure, and relaxation, Points for Family Travel is all about making travel with older kids both accessible and enjoyable.
Whether you’re dreaming of a city break, a resort stay, or your next big family trip, my goal is to give you the tools and inspiration to make it happen.
One of our first business class flights was on Emirates with the on-board bar - we paid just 87k points + $100
Our travels are teen and family focused
Not every family trip has to be big or expensive. Since 2014, our family has road-tripped through more than 40 U.S. states, often using hotel points to cover our stays. We’ve also used points and miles to offset the cost of flights and hotels for weddings, graduations, and family visits making travel more affordable and accessible.
When I first discovered points travel, there were only a few blogs written for families, by families. That’s why I started Points for Family Travel. To show parents that family travel with kids and teens is possible, and that with a little research and planning, your next adventure can be fun, memorable, and (almost) free.
Happy Travels!
